In this section you’ll find a collection of some of the most beautiful rivers and waterfalls in PR. These hidden gems are definitely worth visiting wether you’re a tourist on the island or a local.

Rio Jurutungo – Ponce, PR:

Jurutungo river is one of the most beautiful clear water rivers in the mountains of Ponce. In PR, “el Jurutungo” refers to a place very far away or difficult to get to. This river gives honor to its name. Although it’s not really that difficult to get to, you’ll find yourself going up a mountain for a long time until you get to the place where you have to park and start walking. Once there, the river up hike takes from 15 to 30 minutes depending on the pace. If I were you, I’d stop many times along the way because you’ll see many great river pools and waterfalls going up. Bring water, snacks, river shoes and good company!
